Job Summary


We are seeking a part time dedicated SEN Support Practitioner to join our team to support the needs of one of our students, provide essential care and support. The position is term time only with the successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for this child. This position offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on young lives. Applicants should have experience working with children and possess excellent communication skills in English.

The position is temporary in the first instance but could lead to a more permanent position if our situation allows

Duties



Support the delivery of high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes tailored to individual children's needs To support the child with mobility being physically able to move the student from one activity to another Assist in organising daily activities, including play, learning, and social interactions Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Lead small group activities to promote development in areas such as language, motor skills, and socialisation Manage behaviour constructively and promote inclusive participation among children Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Support colleagues with organisational tasks related to nursery operations

Requirements



Proven experience working with children within childcare, nursery, or early childhood education settings The ability to lift and carry a child with mobility difficulties and support their transportation around the setting Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children and adults alike Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development Compassionate, patient, and adaptable attitude towards children's individual needs Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare or early childhood education are advantageous but not essential

Pay: From 12.60 per hour
