Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? We are working with a specialist secondary school in Bradford that is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join their team for an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. The role will run until Christmas, with a strong likelihood of extension for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
Differentiate teaching and learning activities to support students with complex learning, communication, and social needs.
Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised support.
Monitor and assess student progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and reports where required.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through effective classroom management and tailored strategies.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of strategies to support learners with additional needs, including autism and moderate to complex learning difficulties.
Excellent communication and team-working skills.
A commitment to inclusive education and the holistic development of students.
