We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Class Teacher for a primary class of 9 very low-functioning children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners in a special education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to a small group of children with low-functioning ASC, focusing on their individual learning needs. Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth. Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to provide holistic support. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse and complex needs of the children in your class. Foster resilience and independence in students, helping them develop key life skills.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working as a teacher in a special education setting, particularly with low-functioning ASC children. A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching. Strong understanding of special education needs and tailored teaching methods. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and other stakeholders. A commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for students with complex needs.
