SEN Teacher - Bright Fields School

What do we need:

Qualifications

PGCE/QTS Certificate Degree or equivalent Driving licence is essential Additional SEND training desirable

Management & Organisational Skills

Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage student behaviour effectively and demonstrate a commitment to providing pastoral care.

Partnership & Community Engagement

Proven experience working collaboratively with parents, community organisations, and stakeholders to support students with diverse and complex needs.

Knowledge

Understanding of equality of opportunity, safeguarding, child protection, and inclusion issues within an SEN setting.

Problem-Solving

Ability to quickly identify and address challenges faced by students, ensuring appropriate follow-up and support for their individual needs.

Communication

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, tailored to engage effectively with students, parents/carers, stakeholders and colleagues.

Experience

Experience teaching across Primary and/or Secondary age range, with a proven track record as a creative and adaptable teacher who inspires and motivates students. Familiarity with virtual learning environments is desirable.
