Are you a passionate, adaptable teacher who believes in the power of creativity to inspire young people?
We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our vibrant special school community. This is a unique opportunity to lead on Art and Creativity across the school, while also being a class tutor, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to your own group of students.
About the Role
Take responsibility as a class tutor, teaching a range of subjects including English, Maths, PSHE, and topic-based learning.
Lead and develop art and creative learning, ensuring pupils of all abilities can express themselves and build confidence.
Deliver GCSE Art to a small cohort of students (support and guidance will be provided where needed).
Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, differentiated, and inclusive, meeting the individual needs of students with a range of additional learning needs
Work closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to support every child's learning and wellbeing.
Readiness to plan and lead off-site activities to enrich the education, future employability and learning for children with a range of additional needs.
About You
A qualified teacher, with enthusiasm for teaching in a special school setting.
Deep subject knowledge and confidence to deliver across the curriculum.
Strong organisation skills to oversee art resources used by staff across the school.
A passion for art and creativity.
An desire to help students develop the skills for life beyond school.
Willingness to teach GCSE Art (experience is desirable, but support and training will be available).
Patient, resilient, and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
