Sen Teaching Assistant
Job Description
Emerald Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
Encourage student engagement and promote positive behavior.
Help maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.
Support students' social, emotional, and personal development.
Requirements
Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
