Learning Support Assistant 1 to 2 Year 1/2 Primary School Denmark Hill Full-time

A lovely 2 form entry primary school in Denmark Hill are looking for a full time Learning Support Assistant to start ASAP.

The Role

In this role you will be supporting two boys with diagnosed Special Educational Needs in Year 1 and 2. The children have autism and SEMH and need support within the classroom and particularly when processing instructions and in communications with peers. The children can struggle with regulating emotions and you will be required to support the children outside the classroom at times. You must have experience of working with children who can display challenging behaviour and a knowledge of the 'Now and Next' approach would be ideal. This role is offered on a full-time contract basis for the rest of the academic year.
