Early Years / Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant




Astro Education are working with a Primary School in Crewe who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, positive and committed Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to join their happy and dynamic staff team, who can rise to the challenges of working with children with complex needs. The role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP For SEMH and Cognition and Learning Needs in their EYFS and Year 1 classrooms.


About the Opportunity




Astro Education are seeking an individual who can rise to the challenges of working with children with complex needs. The role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP For SEMH and Cognition and Learning Needs in their busy EYFS and Year 1 classrooms. Successful candidates will earn a minimum of 90 per day

What you will need to succeed:



experience in working 1:1 within and Early Years classroom setting have the skills and knowledge to support a child with SEND needs - ASD/ADHD an excellent awareness of how children learn and progress ensure that children feel valued as unique individuals provide support within lessons be energetic, positive and have a good sense of humour be able to implement structured learning activities / specific programmes for individuals and groups under the general supervision of the teacher have a caring and compassionate nature develop positive relationships with pupils to promote pupil progress and attainment have high expectations of themselves and of others, demonstrating professional conduct at all times and have the ability to contribute positively to an effective team be able to work 8.30 - 3:30pm
