Responsibilities
Work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to support learning and emotional development.
Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment.
Support teaching staff in delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and self-regulation strategies.
Encourage independence and celebrate progress, both academically and personally.
Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education and working with diverse learners.

Confident in building positive relationships with pupils who may present challenging behaviours.
Resilient, adaptable, and committed to supporting SEMH pupils to reach their full potential.
Experienced in working with children or young people (desirable, but training can be provided).
