SEN Teaching Assistant - Fareham

Pay:

14.33 - 15.93 per hour

Hours:

8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term-time only)

We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work in our vibrant schools in Fareham and Gosport, supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social and communication challenges, and complex learning profiles.

The Role

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health & Care Plans) Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development Implement strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning Assist teachers with classroom management and resource preparation Build trusting relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and independence Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff and SENCOs

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experienceworking with children or young adults in education, care, or specialist settings within the last 2 years Empathy, patience, and adaptability Strong communication skills for working with pupils, staff, and parents A proactive, supportive, and positive approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
