We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the

SEN Teaching Assistant

to join their team in

The Role


As a

SEN Teaching Assistant

, you will work closely with the class teacher and support a child with additional needs. Your focus will be on helping them access the curriculum, engage in meaningful activities both indoors and outdoors, and thrive socially and academically.


This is a

full-time position

, continuing until the end of the academic year, with the

potential for extension

in the new school year.

The Ideal Candidate


We're looking for someone who is:

Patient, empathetic, and adaptable

, with the ability to respond to the child's evolving needs. Able to build a

trusting and consistent relationship

with the child. Confidence in following the teacher's lesson plan and ensuring tasks are completed successfully. Comfortable preparing the child for

transitions and changes in routine

. Committed to helping the child feel

safe, supported, and included

in the classroom environment

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting the teacher in delivering inclusive activities both inside and outside the classroom. Creating a calm and comfortable learning space for the child. Encouraging the child's

social and emotional development

. Using

clear, concise, and literal communication

. Providing a

predictable routine

to help reduce anxiety. Proactively preparing the child for any changes in the school day.

Working with Long-term Teachers:
