Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals through personalised instruction and support. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, including those with special educational needs, to enhance their understanding of subjects and improve their overall academic performance.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address the specific learning requirements of students. Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Stay updated on educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities as required.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational methodologies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents. Ability to educate and inspire students, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles. Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
