ALFA, our innovative new learning program, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to join our growing team.
About ALFA
Alternative Learning for All (ALFA)
is Keys' innovative hybrid learning program designed specifically for children who find traditional education challenging to engage with.
Through a flexible blend of online lessons and in-person activities, ALFA adapts to each learner's individual needs, helping them rediscover their love of learning.
We offer part-time programs, tailored to re-ignite motivation and build confidence. ALFA provides a mix of vocational learning, tutor-led sessions, adventurous activities, enrichment opportunities, or a combination of all--designed to support every learner's unique journey
Key Responsibilities
Teach Maths, English, and intervention lessons to students in Key Stage 3 or early Key Stage 4.
Travel locally to visit vulnerable students and teach them face-to-face at their homes.
Work closely with our safeguarding team to make sure every student has a clear safety and personal development plan
Requirements
QTS/QTLS is essential
A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
Experience of tuition of children with SEND or SEMH needs
Full UK driving license

ALFA is expanding in the Wakefield area and there will be further tutoring opportunities. Although the role is 0 hours, ALFA can guarantee work for a certain amount of hours/days. The school welcome to having informal meetings before applying.
