We have an exciting opportunity for a SENCO Assistant to join our Inclusion team. Please read the recruitment pack for further details of this role.

You will need:
To be literate and educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths Experience of working with children of primary school age and be able to relate to them well Experience of using school systems, such as CPOMS, Bromcom and other IT systems such as Word, Excel and Google Suite Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs To maintain a positive and professional demeanour, be patient and calm and have a solution focused attitude To deal sensitively with people and resolve conflicts being fair in matters of discipline Have excellent communication skills and be able to deal with a variety of people sensitively, empathetically and, when necessary, assertively To be self-motivated, well-organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative

Main responsibilities (please see job description for other responsibilities):
To collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals to deliver and improve the school's SEND provision To provide administrative assistance To ensure effective implementation of SEN policies and procedures, including the Local Authority offer To manage the EHCP Finance tracker To complete annual review paperwork adhering to statutory deadlines To manage referrals for specialist support To arrange and conduct regular meetings with parents to support improved pupil attendance To work collaboratively with the local authority and Greenshaw Learning Trust's attendance teams to support and improve pupil attendance
