National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
- Essential* Proven
experience working as a SENCo
within a school setting
A strong understanding of
SEND legislation and procedures
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A collaborative approach and ability to work across year groups
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the school's
SEND provision
Coordinating
EHCPs
, interventions and external support services
Supporting and coaching teachers and support staff on inclusive practices
Monitoring the progress of pupils with SEN and adjusting provision accordingly
Liaising with parents and maintaining effective communication
Ensuring compliance with
SEND Code of Practice
and DfE guidance
