Our Elan Preschool in Haywards Heath, part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for an 1-1 SEND Nursery Assistant to who is responsible for supporting, assessing, planning and working closely with two children who have identified SEND.

The role is 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day, working hours to be discussed at interview.

What will you be doing:



Acting as a liaison between the parents and staff for the individual children after their day at the setting. Keeping the children supervised, supported and comfortable in their day at the setting and ensuring their activities are suitable and age appropriate for them Ensuring that appropriate Individual Education Plans are in place Ensuring that relevant background information about the child/ren with special educational needs or disabilities is collected, recorded, and updated Keeping up to date with initiatives and best practice Gaining all appropriate training to support you Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for the children Read, understand, and implement all company policies, procedures, and operational practices Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors, and work colleagues Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
