We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to various learning styles. Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with an emphasis on communication skills. Assess and evaluate student performance through regular tests, assignments, and feedback sessions. Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support in their studies. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere. Incorporate techniques from speech therapy and applied behaviour analysis as needed to support students with special educational needs. Collaborate with other educators to integrate subjects such as maths and physical education into the curriculum where appropriate. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.

Requirements

A recognised teaching qualification in English or related field is essential. Experience working with children in an educational setting is required; prior preschool experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective teaching and interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and experience in special education will be advantageous. Proficiency in proofreading and editing written work is necessary to guide students in improving their literacy skills. Ability to provide childcare or toddler care when required during school activities or events is preferred. A background in early childhood education or mentoring will be considered an asset.
