to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As a SEND HLTA, you will take on a higher level of responsibility within the classroom, supporting both pupils and teaching staff. Duties may include:

Leading whole-class or small-group sessions when required Delivering targeted interventions for pupils with

SEND

(ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, complex needs) Providing 1:1 support to pupils with more complex needs Supporting lesson planning and adapting learning activities Managing behaviour in line with individual support plans and school policies Monitoring progress and feeding back to teachers and SENCOs Supporting personal care where required Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

HLTA status

or equivalent experience in a SEND setting Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEND Confidence leading learning activities independently A calm, resilient and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
