Key Responsibilities:
Provide nurturing, patient, and calm 1:1 support to the child throughout the school day.
Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote a positive learning environment.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual learning and behavior plans.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that helps the child engage in classroom activities and build confidence.
Maintain open communication with staff and parents to ensure consistent and effective support.
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Childcare
or equivalent.
Experience working with children with ADHD and behavioral needs, ideally in a school setting.
Proven ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
A caring, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
