SEND School Support Worker - Hemel Hempstead - Immediate Start!
We are currently recruiting for a
SEND Care Worker to join a specialist SEND school in Hemel Hempstead
, supporting pupils in
KS3-KS4
. This is a full-time, school-based role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm.
The school caters for young people with a range of special educational needs, and you will be working as part of a dedicated team supporting students both in the classroom and around the school.
Prior experience working with children or young people with SEND is preferred, and you must have experience working with children in the UK.
About the Role:
As a SEND School Support Worker, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within the classroom.
Assist students during lessons and therapy sessions, encouraging them to engage in learning.
Help prepare and organise resources and activities to support students' development.
Work proactively with teaching staff to support the individual needs of each pupil.
What We're Looking For:
Able to start immediately in a full-time, school-based role.
Hold a
Child and Adult Enhanced DBS
, or be willing to apply for one.
Previous experience working with SEND students, ideally within a school setting.
Live in or have reliable transportation to commute to
Hemel Hempstead
.
