About the role

We are seeking an exceptional colleague to join our Special Educational Needs & Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher with an expertise and passion for ensuring that the needs of all students are met.

We are a mainstream school, yet are developing our enhanced provision so all of our students can have a love of learning, feel a sense of belonging and attend school every day. Our provision is new and the support we offer the students as part of this provision requires a Specialist SEND Teacher with experience to support the students to meet these goals.

As a SEND Specialist Teacher, you will oversee a small group of Year 7 and 8 students who are part of our enhanced provision, currently working at KS2 (Year 3-4). The role involves planning and delivering an adapted curriculum, where each of the students are working towards targets as set out on their Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

Experience with delivering KS2 curriculum to KS3 students will be an advantage, using engaging and interactive resources for students to develop both academically and socially.

You will be supported by two Teaching Assistants and deliver the enhanced provision to a group of no more than 13 students. Each of the students have engaged well with their secondary school transition and are enjoying the extra support they are being given.

We hope that you will be interested in joining a school, which aspires that its whole community works The Buckingham Way, we believe in "Success for All" and would be delighted to welcome the right candidate to this rol
