About the Role:
We are seeking a caring, patient, and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a delightful 2-year-old child recently diagnosed with Li-Campeau Syndrome. The role will be focusing on developmental support, sensory regulation, and facilitating communication and early learning milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the child's unique physical, sensory, and communication needs
Implement personalised learning and care plans in coordination with healthcare and educational professionals
Encourage engagement through sensory play, movement-based activities, and calm communication strategies
Monitor and document progress, supporting developmental, physical, and emotional needs
Liaise closely with the family, therapists, and wider care team to ensure a collaborative approach
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
About the Child:
The child is warm, engaging, and responds well to routine and gentle, sensory-based interactions. Due to Li-Campeau Syndrome, they may experience muscle tone differences, coordination challenges, and may be non-verbal or have limited expressive language. A patient, intuitive, and adaptable approach is essential.

An empathetic, calm, and flexible mindset
Relevant SEND or early years qualifications (Level 2 or above preferred)
Current DBS check or willingness to undergo one
