About the Role:



We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving special school in Birmingham. You will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, working closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis. Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Promoting a positive, safe, and engaging learning atmosphere. Helping with personal care and mobility where necessary. Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.

Requirements:



Experience:

Minimum of 2 years working in a similar SEND role.

DBS Check:

A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Skills:

Excellent communication, patience, and a proactive approach.

Desirable:

Knowledge of specific SEND strategies or experience with PMLD, SEMH, ASD, or other related areas.

Pay: 92.10-115.00 per day

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:

Special education: 1 year (preferred)
