Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, sensory needs, and learning difficulties.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and EHC Plans.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment by adapting resources and learning activities.
Support pupils' emotional well-being and positive behaviour through targeted interventions.
Take part in wider school life, including events, enrichment activities, and staff meetings.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant SEND-related training is desirable, but not essential.
Experience:
Previous work as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a SEND role is highly valued.
Skills:
Excellent communication, empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory/behavioural approaches is helpful but not required.
