Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Abram (WN2) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in as soon as possible!
This SEND Teaching Assistant position involves working one-to-one with a child in Year 3 who has Autism. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of the child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil's educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
