working with students with

, and who are confident in supporting students aged 16 and over.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for students aged 16-21 with
Autism
and additional
SEN
in classroom, vocational, and community settings
Assist with delivering bespoke education programmes designed to support life skills, independence, and employability
Work closely with tutors, therapists, and other
SEN Teaching Assistants
to meet each student's individual learning and behavioural needs
Implement and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) under guidance from senior staff
Support with sensory regulation and use of specialist tools and strategies tailored to students with
Autism
Assist in managing challenging behaviour using consistent and proactive behaviour management approaches
Encourage communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation throughout all learning and social activities
Help students access community-based learning opportunities safely and effectively
Monitor student progress and behaviour, maintaining accurate daily logs and contributing to team meetings
Support students with personal care needs where necessary, always respecting dignity and promoting independence
Adapt learning resources and classroom layouts to reflect student needs and promote engagement
Work collaboratively with the wider college team to uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that aligns with the values and aims of the
Specialist College
Participate in regular training provided by the
Specialist College
, with opportunities for further development from
September
onwards

Pay: 90.00-105.00 per day
