About Us
We are an Outstanding SEND school in Dagenham, supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with autism, severe learning difficulties, and complex medical needs. We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and skilled professionals to join our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates who are:
Experienced in supporting children and young people with SEND, or aspiring to build a career in education, healthcare, occupational therapy, or speech and language therapy
Committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Skilled in or willing to learn approaches such as PECS, Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL), sensory integration strategies, and behaviour support
Confident in supporting personal care (toileting, feeding, changing) and medical routines (PEG feeding, hoisting, manual handling)
Resilient, patient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and other additional needs
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce)
Right to Work in the UK
Availability to work 5 days per week during term time
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and good literacy/numeracy skills (GCSEs in English & Maths)
