Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with SEMH and behavioural challenges
Use behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques (Team Teach if trained)
Support the child's learning, emotional regulation, and social development
Collaborate with teachers, SENCos, and outside agencies
Implement individualised behaviour plans and structured routines
Promote inclusion and participation within the classroom
Ideal Candidate:
Has experience supporting children with
SEMH, autism, or trauma-related behaviours
Trained in
Team Teach, PECS, or similar
(desirable but not essential)
Committed, calm, and emotionally intelligent
Able to set firm but fair boundaries while building positive relationships
Values inclusion and sees the child, not the behaviour
Available full-time and ready to make a meaningful impact
Requirements:
Child Workforce Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Right to Work
Able to commit to 5 days a week ASAP
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
1+ year working or volunteering with children (preferred)
