We're hiring! Senior Account Executive, Full-time, Permanent, Brighton, UK



We are recruiting a full-time Senior Account Executive to join the team on one of our most successful show portfolios. Consisting of two live exhibitions in London and Manchester plus an online content hub showcasing the latest tech and innovations within their space; this internationally recognized brand attracts a combined audience of over 23,000 each year.

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for

driving revenue through the sale of exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages, digital advertising and related products across a portfolio of shows or products

. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving individual & team sales targets for the show.

The Senior Account Executive works closely with the Direct Team, Marketing, Event Operations and Finance to ensure client needs are met, and show objectives are delivered.

Key Responsibilities



1. Sales & Business Development



Sell exhibition stands and sponsorship packages to new and returning clients across designated events. Meet and exceed revenue targets consistently. Proactively generate leads through industry research, prospecting, networking, and attending relevant industry events. Identify and research target markets, potential exhibitors, and sponsors relevant to the show. Develop and deliver tailored sales proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Maintain a high volume of client contact through phone, email, video calls, and in-person meetings. Support key accounts under the guidance of senior sales colleagues or the show Event Manager.

2. Market & Industry Knowledge



Stay informed about market trends, competitor events, and industry developments relevant to your sectors. Collect and communicate client feedback to support ongoing event improvement. Identify new revenue opportunities within the existing event portfolio, including upselling and cross-selling.

3. Reporting & Administration



Maintain and manage a personal sales pipeline to ensure continuous progress toward targets. Participate in internal sales meetings, training, and strategy sessions whilst working closely with all other departments to meet essential show deadlines.
Updating and maintaining all systems relevant to the event, including exhibitor database, sales figures and contracts and floorplan.

Participate in

post-event debriefs

, providing insights and recommendations to enhance future sales efforts.

Qualifications & Experience



Minimum

2 years' experience

in a

B2B sales role

, preferably but not exclusive to

trade events

,

exhibitions, conferences, or media sectors.

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets. Experience selling

exhibition space, sponsorship packages, and/or event services

. Knowledge of B2B marketing principles and the role trade events play in business development. Proficiency with

CRM systems

(e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong understanding of the B2B sales process, including lead generation, pitching, negotiating, and closing skills with a consultative approach to sales. Comfortable managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prepare well-structured proposals and presentations. Active listening skills to understand client needs and objectives.

Relationship Management



Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels. Skilled at managing client expectations and resolving issues proactively. Customer-focused approach with a long-term partnership mindset.

Time Management & Organisation



Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients, events, and priorities. Skilled at prioritising and managing workload under pressure.

Proactive in identifying challenges and developing solutions. Comfortable working in a

fast-paced, evolving environment

. Flexible in responding to changes in event formats, client needs, and market conditions. Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and development.

Commercial Manager, Marketing Team, Event Operations Team, Finance Team.

Exhibitors, Sponsors, Industry Associations, Agencies, Event Partners.
