Gilchrist Recruitment is a recruitment partner who is currently working with a brilliant, growing Edinburgh based marketing / design / direct mail agency. Based in the Edinburgh office 3 days/week, you will currently live within the vicinity and have full UK work visa without restriction.



This is a new role within a well established design / direct marketing agency based Edinburgh city centre. This may be an excellent opportunity for an existing Account Manager to take a step up, or an existing Senior Account Manager who is looking for a new challenge.



Please note that you will have to travel around once per month and it be be necessary to stay overnight (within the UK).



As a Senior Account Manager, your main aim is to ensure high level, proactive and efficient account management services are provided to clients. The post holder will oversee work within the team ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained. The Senior Account Manager will act as a main point of contact within the business ensuring client objectives are met and exceeded through end-to-end project management for direct marketing services. This key role will effectively make decisions with bigger picture in mind and also contribute to achieving the company's overall business objectives. You will manage some junior personnel.

Key Responsibilities:





Responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple client accounts and direct marketing campaigns, acting as the face of the agency when engaging with clients.


Managing and coordinating the delivery of client direct mail / marketing activity in line with agreed timescales and budgets.


Efficiently manage client campaigns from brief to delivery, for example, interpretating client briefs, negotiating supplier quotes and ensuring profitability of each project within business KPIs and targets and upselling additional services where appropriate.


Regular engagement with external suppliers, providing relevant briefing with regards to the end-to-end campaign management cycle.


Responsible for the preparation and presentation of client industry insights.


Supporting new business opportunities through quote generation and presentations to the client.


Implement reports and other analysis where necessary to recommend and develop appropriate marketing strategies and improvements/cost savings.


Propose alternative design and production routes to clients by proactively feeding back suggestions ensuring longevity and is aligned to the client's strategy and expectations.


Developing and maintaining long term relationships with clients and suppliers adapting your style and delivery of communication where appropriate.


Using knowledge and expertise to proactively anticipate and mitigate any potential issues arising within a project.


Communicate and collaborate with the team and suppliers to efficiently exceed the client's needs.


Line management and development of direct reports


Ensuring compliance with the agency's policies, procedures and guidelines, together with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.


Engaging with the company's appraisal process, and demonstrate commitment to our values, behaviours and your continuous personal development.


Performing other reasonable duties and/or projects as directed by your line manager.



To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you will possess:



A degree in marketing / business / similar


A minimum of 3 years experience of Account Management within an agency enviornment


Experience of design for print / direct mail / direct marketing


Print production experience / knowledge would be a plus


Knowledge in delivery of campaign from brief, negotiations and final delivery



Strong communicator in all formats and competent in building professional relationships at all levels



Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively



Competent in the interpretation of client briefs and solutions for them



Ability to be proactive and work well in a team environment



Have an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work



Proven track record in providing first-class customer care and service delivery within a similar role



Self-motivated, with a confident approach to projects, comfortable asking questions in order to develop solutions and meet requirements



Ability to manage, prioritise and delegate workload effectively



Experience within direct marketing, campaign management and project management



Experience of working with and understanding client and production briefs



Experience in planning, managing and embedding campaigns



Proven track record in providing first-class customer care and service delivery within a similar role, ensuring budget and timescales are met



Experience in managing people / mentorship of junior members of staff



Salary to 40,000 + benefits
