Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Accountant

with proven expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and management. The ideal candidate will be

ACCA or CMA qualified

and have a strong track record of delivering accurate financial insights in a professional environment.

Duties

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls. Lead internal and external audits, liaising with auditors as required. Support management with financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics. Mentor junior accountants and oversee accounting team activities to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in finance operations.

Requirements

Accounting & Finance:

Expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.

Management Accounting:

Budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial modelling.

Software Proficiency:

Advanced Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP).

Regulatory Knowledge:

Strong understanding of UK tax laws, VAT, and statutory compliance.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder reporting.

Leadership:

Team management, mentoring, and project coordination.

Qualifications:

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

- UK Qualified Accountant

CMA (Certified Management Accountant)

- Global Management Accounting Certification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
