Senior Accountant
The position
We are currently looking for a qualified Accountant with strong IFRS reporting knowledge to join our Global Corporate Finance Team. This is a remote-based position, but candidates must reside within the South Yorkshire region to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration (office Location S60).
You will part of Global Corporate Finance Team supporting the Senior Financial Controller and the Head of Corporate Finance, Rest of Europe Cluster for UK, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
ResponsibilitiesEnsuring accounting records are complete and accurate through delivery of the monthly close process.
Consolidated month end reporting within IFRS framework
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, prepare and submit tax returns, and provide tax planning advice.
Management and control of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss account
Attend regular meetings with the Senior Financial Controller and the Head of Corporate Finance, Rest of Europe Cluster.
Supports the Senior Financial Controller with preparation of working papers and other management information as required.
Making sure internal controls and processes are complied with and adhered to.
Involvement in project accounting and ERP implementation.
Assist with the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts
This position would offer an exposure to all aspects of financial and management accounting up to the submission of the results to the Group. Furthermore, for the right candidate, the position would offer a progression and development opportunity within a truly global team that is spread across Europe, USA, and Asia.
Professional qualifications & Skills:Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
~3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP/ SAP4 Hanna and/or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Manufacturing experience would be an advantage
