We are a small but busy finance team looking for a proactive and reliable individual to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations. This role is ideally suited to someone who is currently studying towards a finance qualification or has already completed one, with at least
3 years of hands-on experience
in a finance function.
What You'll Be Involved In
Processing supplier invoices and payments, and managing AP queries efficiently
Maintaining accurate supplier records and ensuring correct setup
Setting up and verifying subcontractors on the HMRC portal
Taking full ownership of employee expenses and reimbursement processes
Completing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with statutory reporting requirements including VAT returns and ONS submissions
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Experience using the Xero accounting system
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
AAT or similar accountancy qualification preferred (but not essential)
Previous experience working within a finance team
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
A supportive team player who enjoys improving processes and helping others
Salary: 30-35k
Office based in our Carpenders Park Head Office.
Working hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
