Job Description

Signpost Financials are looking for an

Experienced

Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper

to support with the day-to-day running and management of client accounts.

Working within a close-knit and friendly team, the work is fast-paced and priorities are constantly changing, so you need to be agile, flexible and very good at recalling individual cases.

You will need to possess a

minimum of 10 years bookkeeping

experience, with

at least 2 years in a supervisory role

, as there is an expectation that you will be able to provide support to more junior members of the team. Your role will include being cover and over-flow support to other team members as required.

Prior experience and proficiency with Xero is essential.

Principle Responsibilities Include:



Day to day bookkeeping

and associated administration of client accounts, using

Xero

cloud accounting software; General support with

client accounts management/managing client Aged Payables including bank payments

and wider assistance as required, including holiday cover assistance;

Effective email management and professional messaging;

Management of own calendar and workload; Use of internal systems and

practice management software

, including Dext, FYI and other tools as introduced.

office-based role

Experienced bookkeeper - minimum 10 years Supervisory experience - minimum 2 years Professional qualification - minimum AAT Level 4 Competent in use of Xero Excellent interpersonal skills Experience in producing Management Accounts Flexible and agile multi-tasker
