Brompton Hall School is based within private grounds in the pretty village of Brompton-by-Sawdon and is a Special Education School for pupils aged between 8 and 16 years, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Grade 6 Senior Achievement Support Officer to join our team and support the delivery of activities within Brompton Hall School.



This role is ideal for those looking to make a real difference to the lives of children with complex needs.


You will support and contribute to the lesson plans created by the teacher, using your skills and knowledge of our pupils to ensure customised learning can be delivered.



This role is wonderfully varied, you will be based both within and outside of the classroom. You will be required to use your initiative, and work with small groups, as well as at times be within the full class.


You will be highly organised with the ability to:


Work well as a team and also use initiative Be able to build strong relationships with children Manage challenging behaviour positively Motivate and develop the children in your care Be passionate about seeing young people succeed Be emotionally resilient

You will need:


GCSE English and maths, Grade A-C (or equivalent - eg Certificate in Adult Literacy / Numeracy Level 2) NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification Safeguarding level 1 Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and special needs Understanding of National Curriculum, and other codes of practice eg SEN, Equalities
