What will you be doing?

Senior Actuarial Manager, Change




Location: Hybrid, Dorking 2 days per week, 1 further day spent in Dorking, Basingstoke or London




Unum UK is looking for a qualified actuary to lead the delivery of strategic change initiatives across our Finance & Underwriting functions. This is a high-impact role where you will provide senior actuarial input and guidance on key projects, particularly within Pricing & Risk.




You will be responsible for managing cross-functional project teams, ensuring robust governance, and communicating outcomes to senior stakeholders. As a senior leader, you will also play a key role in shaping actuarial processes and building strategic relationships across the business.

What will you bring?

Additional Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, leading and managing project teams to deliver successful outcomes. Communicate key deliverables, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders and approval committees across the business Mentor and coach junior team members as required

What you will bring:

Strong post-qualification experience and a 2:1 degree or above in a numerate subject Expertise across pricing (Group Risk, Individual or General Insurance), reserving methodology and/or assumption setting Experience in GLM modelling (preferred), and familiarity with actuarial modelling software Excellent communication and leadership skills A proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and deliver results
