About Young Northants:



Young Northants is new collaboration of VCSE organizations, dedicated to supporting and empowering children and young people in Northamptonshire. Our mission is to seek funding and resources that provide educational, mental health, and recreational opportunities to help young individuals thrive and reach their full potential.

Job Purpose:



To support the Trustee Board and the Steering committee in the running of the organisation. You will be responsible for arranging meetings, leading the organisations communications, providing administrative support for funding bids, record keeping

This position requires a proactive and creative individual who can work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and the wider community to grow this fledgling organisation and help strengthen the youth offer for children and young people in Northamptonshire. You will be responsible for actioning the communications plan such as encouraging new members, preparing information for the membership along with the Trustees

Key Responsibilities:

- Administrative Support: Maintain records, manage correspondence, and oversee office operations.

- Financial Management: Supporting the Treasurer with processing invoices, tracking expenses.

- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to charity regulations, liaise with external bodies, and support trustee and Steering group meetings.

- Meeting organisation - booking and planning agenda and taking minutes for Trustee Board and Steering group meetings ( use of AI for minutes is encouraged)

- Communication & Engagement: Respond to inquiries, manage social media and newsletters, and support donor relations.

Person Specification:



- Strong organizational and administrative skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Experience in financial administration and record-keeping.

- Knowledge of charity governance and compliance (preferred).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
