Hours:

38 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday

About Us



We're looking for a motivated, organised and creative

Senior Administrator

to join our team.

This is a varied and rewarding position combining

front-of-house reception and administrative support

with key responsibilities in

digital communications

and

recruitment administration

. You'll be the friendly first point of contact for visitors, staff and external partners, while also helping us share our work online, attract great new colleagues, and ensure the smooth running of our office and communications.

Key Responsibilities


Reception & Administration

Provide a professional and welcoming reception service, managing incoming calls, visitors, and general enquiries efficiently. Maintain the room booking calendar, prepare meeting rooms, and organise refreshments or equipment as required. Provide clerical and administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and Office Manager. Produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, meeting minutes and newsletters. Maintain and update databases, mailing lists and company records. Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of company events and internal functions. Ensure compliance with data protection and organisational policies. Help maintain an organised, safe and positive working environment for staff, service users and visitors.

Recruitment Administration

Support the

Office Manager

in managing all aspects of the recruitment process, from advertising vacancies to onboarding new staff. Alongside the Office Manager, post job adverts across various platforms, ensuring they reflect New Directions' values and branding. Manage applications, coordinate interviews, and liaise with candidates and hiring managers. Assist with pre-employment checks, reference requests and maintaining accurate recruitment records. Help coordinate induction and onboarding materials for new starters. Contribute ideas to enhance our recruitment marketing and candidate experience.

Digital Media & Marketing

Create engaging content for New Directions' website, newsletters and social media channels, helping to share our impact and values with a wider audience. Work with the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team to plan and deliver digital communication campaigns. Design and distribute accessible marketing materials, including promotional leaflets, annual reports and event materials. Regularly update the organisation's website and social media, ensuring information is current, relevant and visually appealing. Capture and edit photos, videos or case studies to highlight our work and celebrate achievements. Monitor social media engagement and provide reports or insights to support strategy. Ensure all digital materials align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.

About You



You'll bring:

Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills. Previous experience in

digital content creation

and

social media

Previous experience in tracking social media performance and implementing strategies to increase reach and engagement would be advantageous. Experience of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and ideally familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Canva and Mailchimp. A positive, proactive and creative mindset. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
