We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role, working two days per week at our head office in Hatfield. A Senior Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis, tooling, reporting, and decision-making support to stakeholders in the Logistics area and, at times, other parts of the business. Driving the consolidation and aggregation of data from multiple sources across Logistics, in collaboration with Data Services and Technology teams. Analysing trends and contributing to the improvement of selected key performance indicators (KPIs) through data-based decision-making. If you have a strong background in data analysis, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a passion for leveraging data to make informed decisions, we encourage you to apply. You will be

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, enhancing decision-making processes, and ensuring seamless operations within the Analytics and Optimization team and Ocado. You will conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within the supply chain and logistics functions. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to optimise inventory management, procurement, and distribution processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, insights, and requirements for analysis and reporting purposes. You will generate accurate and insightful reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline operations, and drive efficiency, while monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics operations and propose actionable strategies for improvement. You will, of course, stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain and logistics, and assess their potential impact on our operations.

About you

At least 2 years of experience in an Analyst role, particularly with Big Data experience. Exceptional quantitative & qualitative problem-solving skills. Strong command of analytical SQL required with Excel, VBA, or similar to these (e.g. Python, R or other programming experience) desirable. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Brilliant problem-solving skills!
