About the Role




Business Trends partners with Wayfair's senior leadership and all business functions to identify, monitor, and act on metric trends driving Revenue and long-term Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). We analyse performance trends and craft narratives on Wayfair's absolute and relative performance - both tactically and strategically - enabling leaders to quickly understand performance drivers and address issues in real time.


Our work drives long-term CLV by aligning the organisation around Wayfair's customer value proposition, tracking key input metrics, and intervening when customer response or trends deviate from expectations. We also influence partner teams to focus resources on areas that advance business performance and market share.




We're seeking a Senior Analyst to lead Trends for our Wayfair Verified program, working closely with commercial leadership. The Analyst will support the Trends leadership in diagnosing performance and shaping the narrative, as well as own reporting and analytics for the program, a key commercial initiative in Europe. This role collaborates closely with GMs, Marketing, Pricing, Ops, and our Data Engineering team to enhance self-service reporting capabilities.

What You'll Do:



Own, with support from Trends senior leadership, the regular performance reporting / weekly steering decks for our EU business in collaboration with partner teams Spearhead analytics and reporting for the Verified program in EU, partnering closely with the EU Verified GM and their sister organisation in the US Contribute to the Business Trends STO roadmap. Build and manage trackers through Google's Looker connected sheets which will help Business Trends and cross-functional partners monitor trends. Work on cross-store investigations which span Wayfair.co.uk and Wayfair.ie. These can include macro economic pattern analysis, category / class trends, impact of policies or issues in the experience, amongst many other things. Contribute to the monthly Trends Council narrative with peers and the Head of Business Trends, delivering a high-level readout for Directors+ highlighting key business performance themes Collaborate closely with Business Trends Data Engineering with regards to defining additional needs for metrics & dimensions in the Business Trends Curated Data Layer. Work with a wide group of stakeholders, both regularly and ad hoc, in validating data insights and assisting in building hypotheses for possible interventions in the case of trend deviations.

What You'll Need



Proven work experience in analytical, consulting, technology, startup, or strategy roles Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience Strong analytical skills - ability to develop analytical hypothesis and assumptions, use data software to conduct analyses, and synthesize findings Strong communication skills - ability to succinctly summarise findings and thread a narrative, and share / align messaging with stakeholders Strong business acumen - ability to understand how various parts of the business interact and can identify and approach problems from a customer perspective Ability to learn and act quickly, make decisions and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity Intellectually curious, high energy, with a strong work ethic and a desire to work in a fast-paced, high stakes team environment Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills Experience with SQL or Google Big Query
