Position Summary
Fund Management Team: The FM team is responsible for the operations of Carlyle's investment funds, working closely with the Deal Team on valuations, portfolio reviews, and deal acquisition/exit. The team collaborates with Fund Heads/MDs on fund performance projections and optimization initiatives. While the FM team does not make investment decisions or source assets, it plays a significant role managing and tracking the overall fund performance.
Position Summary: The FM Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing quarterly valuations of fund investments, supporting fundraising initiatives, coordinating with Carlyle's investment teams for acquisitions and disposals, and providing input for central reporting analysis. They also support forecasting, budgeting, and collaborate with the Fund CFO and FM team on ad-hoc materials and analysis, and participate in various firm initiatives.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze quarterly valuations and exit forecasts for fund portfolio companies.
  • Coordinate and review quarterly performance reporting for Carlyle portfolio companies.
  • Support Fund CFO and team in funding and closing investments, including complex cash movements.
  • Develop ad-hoc Fund Management-related materials and analysis.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts, including marketing materials and due diligence responses.
  • Collect and report performance metrics and draft capital call/distribution notices.
  • Support internal and external audit testing and prepare annual fund operating budgets.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to operate in a demanding, fast-paced environment with significant overtime.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Expertise in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, data analytics, and visualization.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical/financial role in asset management.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred. Requirements:
