The Role
Are you an experienced laboratory professional ready to take the lead from the bench? We're looking for a Senior Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality environmental testing, ensuring samples are completed accurately, on time and in full compliance with our Quality Management System. This is a hands-on role for a scientifically minded individual who thrives on problem-solving, mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:00)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Annual Salary: 27,636 per annum

The Day to Day
Ensure samples are completed to allocated quantities, deadlines and quality standards
Maintain daily service delivery in line with company KPIs
Interpret, review and report analytical data with scientific rigour
Supervise analysts in the absence of the Team Leader, providing clear instruction, support and feedback
Support the Team Leader with work planning, resource management and team meetings
Train colleagues, assess competency and ensure ongoing technical standards
Investigate, report and reduce non-conforming work and rework
Liaise with customer services, responding to queries and complaints
Work collaboratively to ensure efficient sample flow
Champion health, safety and good laboratory practice at all times
The Essentials
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline
Significant laboratory experience with strong knowledge of environmental testing
Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems
Proven ability to evaluate data critically and draw robust conclusions
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your own work and support others
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
Confident communicator with good IT skills
A proactive, analytical problem-solver committed to high standards of safety and quality
