Senior Analyst - Operational Risk, Investments

to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in applying our Risk Management Framework across our UK and US offices, partnering with investment teams to enable robust risk and control practices.

The Opportunity



This is a unique chance to

partner with Investments and Investment Operations teams

, covering capital markets, equities, money markets, and more, to provide end-to-end risk and control services. You'll build strong relationships, facilitate a positive attitude to risk management, and ensure risk areas are reviewed, managed, and monitored in line with our framework.


You'll have the opportunity to:


Develop and maintain strong relationships with business units, fostering a culture of proactive risk management. Ensure risk areas are appropriately reviewed, managed, and recorded, including incident reporting, control design and testing, and process mapping. Facilitate root cause analysis for incidents, identifying control weaknesses and driving improvements. Conduct control testing and follow up on recommendations for process and control improvements. Keep management informed of the risk and control environment through timely reporting. Represent Line 1 Risk on projects impacting risk and control profiles. Develop risk reporting and dashboards for senior management and governance groups. Engage with internal and external auditors, validating that audit findings are implemented.

To excel in this role, you'll need:


Experience in risk management, ideally within Financial Services, Investment Management, or Pension Funds.

Technical Depth:

Strong understanding of risk management, investment, and investment operations processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and issues to senior management.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.

Audit Exposure:

Experience with risk and control identification and testing practices.

Qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualifications (B. Com, B. Fin or equivalent); postgraduate qualifications beneficial.

Growth Mindset:

Self-starter, comfortable working in a small team and a rapidly changing environment.
Highly desirable:


Interest in investments and financial markets. Exposure to institutional asset management and middle/back office functions. Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems.
