JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst, Regulatory and Transaction Reporting

LOCATIONS: London / Birmingham / Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

This is a phenomenal opportunity to join our team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work in a collaborative fashion to ensure the regulatory commitments of the Commercial Bank and Group Corporate Treasury are met across multiple regulations and subject areas.

About This Opportunity

You\'ll join our Regulatory Transaction Reporting team who play a meaningful role in ensuring we meet our regulatory obligations for a variety of regulations.

The team sits within our Markets and Lending Delivery area (MLD) which is part of the Delivery Function which has offices in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Hybrid and flexible working practices are encouraged and can be agreed with your line manager according to your needs and preferences.

Core Purpose of the Role

Support the timely and accurate regulatory reporting via various platforms to ensure various regulatory obligations are met

Act as an SME on the technical aspects of workflow management and reporting obligations being responsible for as needed more junior members of the team with the ability to also collaborate closely with senior management, vendors and regulators.

Monitor systems to identify exceptions and undertake root cause analysis to ensure required amendments are completed

Work with Technical partners to ensure infrastructure / reporting logic issues are resolved

Collaborate with and influence other partners of the Group, in order to educate accordingly, in a continually evolving and complex regulatory landscape, implement standard methodologies and exchange information.

Attend relevant Industry Market forums representing, cascading information to the wider team, and ensuring further action is taken, as appropriate.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need

We\'re looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills which can be used in an agile and dynamic working environment. Who has proven problem solving skills and is not afraid of being curious. Whilst the Senior Analyst will operate independently, supported by line management as required, they will also work as part of a team; willing to share information and ideas proactively; be able to demonstrate initiative.

We operate in a multifaceted environment where there is a clear focus on ensuring regulatory obligations have been met whilst seeking the most efficient way of performing through using Lean and Sigma frameworks. Team members are actively encouraged to learn these methodologies and drive success.

We\'ll give opportunities to support a vast range of activities that span across multiple financial products and multiple regulatory regimes which offers excellent development prospects!

We\xe2\x80\x99re specifically looking for these skills:

Proven understanding of, at a minimum, MiFID II and/or EMIR regulatory reporting regime \xe2\x80\x93 including understanding of reporting requirements & eligibility determinations

Strong problem solving skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Outstanding Excel skills are an imperative and ideally VBA skills

And experience of these would be really useful:

Comprehensive understanding of financial markets products and trade flows.

Experience of UnaVista, DTCC and TRADEcho

Ability to accurately analyse and synthesise large amounts of data; keen eye for detail; unafraid to raise questions to both confirm understanding and challenge appropriately.

Developed interpersonal skills to work closely and partner with LBG colleagues and teams as well as external suppliers displaying integrity and a client first focus.
