Your new role



The Fund is currently growing capabilities within our international offices and continuing to build our specialist internal valuations team to work alongside our private markets investment department. This new Senior Analyst seat offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including Kings Cross and Canada Water, as well as our expanding UK and European investments, as part of our growing in-house valuations team



Reporting directly to our specialist Property Valuations Manager, you will be:


Co-ordinating the valuation of unlisted property assets on an annual, semi-annual or quarterly cycle, to ensure that AustralianSuper's unlisted property assets are valued in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the Fund's Valuation Policy. This includes activities such as:


+ provision of information,
+ facilitation of management meetings,
+ briefing of external advisors,
+ reviewing draft valuation reports (in conjunction with the asset class team),
+ financial model checks,
+ verifying accuracy of inputs,
+ assessing the reasonableness of key assumptions and
+ commenting on the appropriateness of the final value
Manage valuation risk by ensuring valuation conclusions are appropriate and accompanied by robust documentation Monitor ongoing performance of Property and the markets within which they operate Assist with RFPs for new assets or when rotation is required, including engaging valuers and negotiating terms Resolve Property Valuation issues through proactive engagement with Asset Class teams, Portfolio Management teams and other teams
This role is based on-site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule.

Relevant qualifications in Property/Real Estate and/or other relevant areas. Post graduate qualifications/memberships - MRICS is essential Exposure working for or with Valuation Consultancy/Advisory firms Experience valuing a range of property assets such as build to rent, student housing, commercial, and development as part of your rotations Significant exposure working and operating within an established valuations team at a real estate or professional services firm. Ability to work independently, and as part of a global team. Motivation to work across all types of property investment, private credit and US coverage where needed. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
