The role...


GlobalData is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the Apparel team within its Retail division. GlobalData is a leading retail analysis and consulting firm in the UK, and we are looking for a Senior Analyst who has strong research analysis experience and a deep knowledge of the fashion sector. We work with many of the world's leading retailers, property firms and those in the financial sector to help them maximise success through developing a thorough understanding of the sector and its likely future performance.


What you'll be doing...


Project management and authoring of syndicated research products for clients Undertake research and produce high quality and accurate analysis and data Work as part of a team to ensure content is produced to a high standard within allotted deadlines, with responsibility for proofreading and editing content Create and deliver credible presentations to external audiences Train and support junior members of the team Drive new product development Provide insight and analysis to the media, showing thought leadership Assist our sales teams to strengthen client relationships

What we're looking for...


Educated to degree level Experience (at least 3 years) within the fashion industry including manipulating and analysing data, and producing meaningful insight An ability to analyse key issues, threats and trends across the apparel market and the retail sector as a whole An understanding of macro issues, demographic trends and economic measures and how they impact the retail market and consumer spend Excellent written English and an ability to proof and edit written content Competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as excellent time management and organisational skills Line management and project management experience is desirable Commercial acumen and an ability to identify growth opportunities for clients Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team The ability to manage or work on multiple projects with a number of stakeholders and meet client deadlines
