We seek a forward-thinking Senior Applications Administrator join a thriving team of software developers, testers and fellow administrators who look after applications across On-Prem and cloud bases platforms. Our applications underpin what we do and we have built strong relationships with 3rd party vendors, in-house development, data warehousing and business intelligence capability.

Salary - from \xc2\xa345,100

What you\'ll do:
  • Lead in the configuration, maintenance, enhancement and support of Mission critical software packages, internally developed applications, and web services.
  • Lead in the upgrade / customization and addition of new features to applications in conjunction with senior users and Vendor requirements.
  • Provides daily operational and technical support for mission critical applications by troubleshooting incidents and identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Leads in the installation and technical documentation of new products, including through life cycle, UAT, Go-Live, resolution of incidents as they arise, Liaising with 3rd party vendors etc.
  • Manage day to day availability of application software and environments, ensuring that change management and problem management are properly addressed in a timely manner to enable service improvement and within SLA\'s.
  • Assists with managing vender relationships including scoping of application services and review of deliverables and application upgrade paths.
  • Attend technical briefing / support groups including MIR\'s (major incident reviews).
  • Maintain technical skills and mentor other team members to allow AWE to benefit from new and emerging technologies to make supportive decisions.
  • Understand and develop application support road maps to inform planning activities.
  • Build relationships with other teams to promote better support and communications.
What you\'ll be accountable for:
  • To support the Team Leader in maintaining the operational status and availability of application software and environments to the business community. Ensuring that changes to applications and services align with operational and strategic plans.
  • Escalation of significant issues to the Team Lead.
  • Provide cover for the Team Lead in the event of any absence.
What you\'ll need:
  • Customer focussed, have a can-do approach
  • leadership skills
  • Significant experience of call and change management systems, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis.
  • Great communication skills - translate technical to non-technical and vice-versa
  • Working knowledge with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
  • Significant experience in a proactive IT environment with a strong understanding of; Virtualization, Application Servers, Cloud Technologies, Network Principles, and monitoring tools
  • Able to operate under pressure and influence decisions.
