London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London's Fire and Rescue Service - one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.
We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).
LFB is seeking a talented Senior Developer - Applications to join our busy Application Development Team.
The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in PowerApp and Power Automate development as well as a proficiency in the use of Azure Logic Apps and custom API Integration to extend the Power Platform capabilities. They will also have a knowledge of the use of AI automation models and how can they drive efficiency and productivity in the organisation. C#, ASP.net, SQL, HTML, CSS and Javascript/JQuery skills will be a bonus. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in this dynamic environment is essential.

The candidate will be joining a small innovative team of close-knit developers and dedicated to improving business processes. The candidate will be building intuitive, user-friendly apps that will streamline operations and drive efficiency. Providing an end-to-end service from scoping to developing and delivering apps, you will have a talent for problem solving and a keen eye for detail to craft robust, scalable applications.
You will need:
Demonstrable skills in PowerApps, Power Automate and API integration
A good knowledge of extracting and transforming data.
A good understanding on how to assist stakeholders identify issues, document requirements and provide solutions to improve processes.
A willingness to delve into new areas and technologies to expand your skill set.
This role is hybrid based, working at our central London headquarters and remotely from home.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1

1. Practical experience designing and developing process improvement solutions using industry standard development technologies (i.e., SQL, C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS etc.) or Microsoft PowerApps (Canvas and Model Driven) and Power Automate.
2. Proven experience of managing extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes using SQL or Power Automate.
3. Knowledge of Power Fx, JSON, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph API.
4. An understanding of Azure Logic Apps, Functions, API Management and AI Builder.
