An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join the Sefton Arc Team.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Approved Electrician with a strong background in Fire and Security. Experience or knowledge in fire would be advantageous. The role involves managing, developing and supporting a team deliver high-quality services with best practise in the delivery of Electrical and Security services by ensuring compliance, performance with continuous improvement and delivery of services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations within the Electrical & Security teams.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential elements for the post. This role will also involve supporting our other programmes and services in a holistic approach. You will be able to deal with confidential and sensitive information. We are looking for someone with good computer, organisational and interpersonal skills.
To support the business and service plan for Sefton ARC Security in accordance with all approved policies and performance criteria. Ensure electrical & security service areas meet current legislation, regulatory and professional standards and adhere to quality accreditations.
To champion a culture of co-operation and teamwork to deliver shared goals in support of corporate and divisional priorities. To encourage, coach, train and develop individuals and teams to enable them to maximise their capacity and facilitate effective delegation.

What will you be doing?
You will be managing a team that consists of:
Electrical Service - Certification, electrical installations, testing and electrical maintenance of council buildings. Fire Alarm servicing and fire alarm installs. Security service and maintenance to NSI standards.
To manage the effective operation of Electrical services within the remit of the post holder, ensuring that individual service budgets and income targets are met, and services remain competitive within the wider marketplace. Develop strategies and procedures to achieve and maintain a customer focused service to maximise cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Electrical & Security teams.
Manage electrical installations, testing, maintenance, and fire alarm systems.
Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and NSI standards.
Support wider programmes and services with a collaborative approach.
Monitor budgets, meet income targets, and maintain service competitiveness.
Drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
