Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technician to join our design team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in architectural design, and construction documentation. We are also looking for someone who wants to work in a passionate, empathetic, strategic and delivery focused business. We are garden centre and farm shop design specialists.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects using a broad range of CAD and 3D modelling software. The Senior Architectural Technician will be responsible for developing detailed technical drawings, schematics, and visualisations alongside the CAD team and lead Architect, that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in programmes such as Revit and AutoCAD alongside a strong understanding of graphic design principles and construction processes, and have experience in managing teams and projects.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive architectural drawings, schematics, and system designs using CAD software Collaborate with architects, cad team, engineers, and clients to interpret project requirements and translate them into precise technical documentation. Prepare construction documentation ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards. Assist in the coordination of design development phases by producing accurate schematics and system layouts. Conduct site visits to oversee installation processes and ensure adherence to design specifications. Review technical drawings for accuracy and optimise workflows for efficiency across multiple projects. Support junior team members by providing mentorship in CAD techniques and modelling software.

Experience

Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or similar role within the architecture or construction industry. Extensive knowledge of CAD programmes Strong understanding of schematic development, system design principles, and construction processes. Experience producing detailed technical drawings for complex architectural projects. Familiarity with graphic design tools is advantageous for creating presentation visuals. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
